Reading Folk is a free, weekly Book Club for parents and carers, we meet on Wednesday mornings (with your little ones) to chat over a good book and some grown-up company.
As we head towards Christmas we’ll be reading The Secret History by Donna Tartt.
How Reading Folk works:
- Sign-up online
- You’ll receive a free copy of our book
- Each week we’ll set a number of chapters for you to read at home and then we’ll discuss them the following week.
- The first part of our meet-up takes place in the Discover Area of Central Library, giving children an opportunity to explore the space, read with their grown-up and play. Then we’ll head over to the World Museum for coffee and cake to discuss the book.
The little details:
- We encourage parents/carers to attend with their children, we’ll have books and toys on hand to keep them entertained while we chat
- Membership is free thanks to the National Lottery Community Fund
- As our Book Club is funded, members need to be based in Liverpool City Region (Merseyside) and over 18
