Launch of Reading Folk

  • Liverpool Central Library William Brown Street L3 8EW (map)

Reading Folk is a free, weekly Book Club for parents and carers, we meet on Wednesday mornings (with your little ones) to chat over a good book and some grown-up company.

As we head into summer we’ll be reading Cleopatra and Frankenstein by Coco Mellors.

How it works: sign-up, then join us in Central Library - we’ll spend the first part of the morning in the Discover space so your little ones can explore the children’s section and play, then we head to the World Museum for a coffee and cake. You’ll receive a free copy of the book and we’ll meet over 5 weeks to discuss it as we read, with complimentary refreshments.

The little details:
- We encourage parents/carers to attend with their children, we’ll have books and toys on hand to keep them entertained while we chat
- Membership is free thanks to the National Lottery Community Fund
- As our Book Club is funded, members need to be based in Liverpool City Region, and over 18
